If you're detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a mission-driven company, we encourage you to apply.JOB SUMMARYThe Maintenance Mechanic technician is responsible for performing a wide range of duties to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of all plant production equipment and facility systems. This includes conducting repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, and support equipment. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform inspections, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Additional responsibilities include documenting maintenance activities, assisting with production needs as required, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting overall plant operations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support.
  • Performs repairs and installations on all plant air conditioning systems.
  • Completes preventative maintenance as assigned.
  • Performs equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and safety.
  • Communicates repair functions with production supervisors.
  • Identifies and communicates safety hazards and quality deficiencies to maintenance management.
  • Adhere to plant safety and 5S requirements; Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Knows and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Troubleshooting skills, locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for electrical problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining the form and texture of parts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
  • Inspect, solve, repair, and maintain mechanical, basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Occasional assistance with production needs.
  • Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment working in a Maintenance Mechanic capacity.
  • A high degree of technical aptitude and skill to learn the function and repair of plant production equipment.
  • Self-starter able to take direction, and problem solves to repair and maintain plant production equipment and systems.
  • Good written and verbal skills with basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Strong computer skills required; Microsoft Office Excel proficiency as well as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment working in a Maintenance Mechanic capacity.
  • Mechanical and Electrical experience needed for stationary machinery.
EDUCATION:
  • High School or equivalent preferred.
  • Formal training in one or more of the following: General Industrial Maintenance, Hydraulics, Industrial Electrical Systems, PLC Programming, Industrial Refrigeration, Compressors, Pneumatic.
