Base pay range

$36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of duties to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of all plant production equipment and facility systems. Responsibilities include repairs, installations, preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, and support equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, inspections, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Additional duties include documenting activities, assisting with production needs, and maintaining a safe work environment. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to plant operations are essential.

Responsibilities

1. Complete work orders and provide maintenance support, individually or in teams.
2. Perform repairs and installations on plant air conditioning and other systems.
3. Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure proper operation and safety.
4. Communicate repair functions and safety hazards to production supervisors and management.
5. Adhere to safety and 5S standards; document and communicate actions and needs.
6. Interpret schematics and manuals; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
7. Remove defective parts and use measuring tools to inspect and adjust components.
8. Assist with production needs as required.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude with experience in plant production equipment repair and maintenance.
• Self-starter with problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions.
• Good communication skills and basic math skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and experience with CMMS preferred.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Formal training in Industrial Maintenance, Hydraulics, Electrical Systems, PLC Programming, Refrigeration, or Compressors preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, with mechanical and electrical experience.
