Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Morton, IL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair CNC machinery used in turbine engine component manufacturing. You will follow blueprints, diagnose equipment issues, and perform routine inspections to prevent downtime.

A high school diploma and at least five years of related experience are required. Candidates should have strong knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, and Okuma controls, with the ability to read schematics and operate shop equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of CNC equipment, servo drives, and control systems is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Use and care for related test equipment.
• Install, service and maintain CNC machines and related facilities.
• Determine causes of equipment failure and plan repairs.
• Perform routine inspections to determine necessity of repair and maintenance.
• Follow manufacturer drawings, layouts, and instructions for repairs.
• Support other duties as assigned.

About The Opportunity

To perform all aspects necessary for the maintenance of the equipment used in the manufacturing of Turbine Engine components and, the repair and construction within the facility.

Location

Morton, IL, 1st shift position with overtime.

This role will be onsite 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Use and care for related test equipment
• Install, service and maintain the operating condition all of the facilities CNC Machines
• Determine the reasons for equipment failure
• Make routine, periodic or special inspections to determine the necessity of the repair and maintenance of the plant machinery and equipment
• Use manufacturers’ drawings and specifications, installation, layouts and sketches, and follow the written and verbal instructions to aid effecting other than major repairs (those that require the equipment or machine to be repaired by outside sources)
• Other job‑related duties as assigned
• High Level of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, Okuma control knowledge and parameter background.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial mechanics and industrial electrical (pneumatic and hydraulic)
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Able to operate maintenance shop equipment
• Required to have a valid driver’s license and a company issued fork truck license
• Demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude
• Troubleshoot servo and spindle drives using multimeters and diagnostic software
• Analyze ladder logic and PLCs
• Test high and low voltage system
• Restore parameters and software
• Read complex electrical schematics
• Deep understanding of CNC feedback loops, encoders, and motor amplifiers
• Strong background in general industrial electricity.

Physical Requirements

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
