Job summary

Dart Container is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to reliably maintain production and facility equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operations across plant processes.

Candidates should be adept with hand-tools, power-tools, and automated controls, and able to read blueprints and schematics. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of related experience, an Associate/Technical degree, and hands-on skills in hydraulics,

Qualifications

• Three or more years performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
• Special knowledge in use of hand-tools and power-tools.
• Math skills including basic operations and fractions conversions.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals and schematics.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and gauges.
• Ability to learn manufacturing processes and inspect/repair components.
• Knowledge of automated controls and PIT/certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow KPI targets for safety, quality, production, efficiency and service.
• Install, diagnose, maintain, repair and rebuild plant equipment.
• Repair equipment during breakdowns and assist others.
• Assist with change-overs and setup of machinery.
• Inspect and repair faults using test equipment and software.
• Utilize SAP PM and work orders in maintenance planning.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and part inventories.
• Train other maintenance staff as required.
• Operate PIT, hoist, crane, and related equipment.
• Follow blueprints and electrical/mechanical diagrams for repairs.
