Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school with maintenance focus preferred.
• Three years of maintenance experience required; on-the-job or apprenticeship acceptable.
• Virginia Driver's License preferred for hospital roles; required for Property Maintenance.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to use a computerized work order system; follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Investigates repair needs, coordinates with facility staff, reviews work orders, and secures supplies.
• Performs basic maintenance on portable and fixed equipment; uses hand/power tools and testing instruments.
• Detects malfunctions and repairs machinery according to manuals and specifications.
• Documents and maintains records and information for assignments and blueprints.
• Updates practices to stay compliant with regulatory requirements and research new techniques.
