Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic III to perform advanced maintenance and repair of medical equipment in support of clinical operations. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, equipment in-services for staff, and collaboration with other staff on service agreements and projects.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and proficiency with TeleTracking, Kronos Scheduler, EPIC Care Inpatient, and GE ECG monitors, and the ability to read drawings

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have completed a cardiac monitoring course prior to hire.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification required & maintained during employment.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities at current level of practice.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required.
• Must have command of TeleTracking, Kronos Scheduler, EPIC Care Inpatient, and GE ECG monitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance and repair of medical equipment in clinical operations.
• Provide equipment in-services to medical staff as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot diverse equipment.
• Install, calibrate and maintain medical devices with minimal supervision.
• Read drawings and blueprints to plan maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate service with staff and contractors on projects.
