Join us as our new Maintenance Mechanic II

This position operates under general supervision and is primarily responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment and machinery. The role also includes assisting with building facility maintenance as requested by management. This position works the 2nd shift, from 3 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

In this role, you'll make a difference by:

• Maintaining the condition of production and facility equipment in compliance with state regulations.
• Ensuring optimal operation of all production equipment through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and timely repairs.
• Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing all building systems and their components, including lighting, HVAC, wastewater systems, steam, compressed air, water systems, electrical, foam systems, and other similar systems throughout the facility.
• Completing all required computer logs and paperwork accurately.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.

To succeed, you must possess:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Basic mathematical skills, including conversion of weight and volume in the metric system.
• Basic knowledge of boiler plant fundamentals, HVAC operations, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret basic building diagrams and schematics.
• Working knowledge of computers and basic controls for equipment operation.
• Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize work and operate with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers regarding mechanical projects.
• Membership in the First Aid Team/Safety Committee and a Fire Protection Monitor certification.
• Valid driver's license and forklift license.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Typically, a high school diploma or GED, a one-year technical certificate, and 1-3 years of related experience.
