Join us as our new Maintenance Mechanic II

This position works under general supervision and is primarily responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment and machinery. You will also assist with building facilities maintenance as requested by management. This role is on the 2nd shift, from 3 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

In this role, you'll make a difference by:

• Maintaining the condition of production and facility equipment according to regulations.
• Ensuring optimal operation of all production equipment by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing issues promptly.
• Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing building systems, including lighting, HVAC, wastewater, steam, compressed air, water systems, electrical, foam systems, and others throughout the facility.
• Completing all required logs and paperwork.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.

To succeed, you must have:

• The ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic mathematical skills, including metric conversions.
• Fundamental knowledge of boiler plants, HVAC operations, and troubleshooting.
• The ability to read and interpret building diagrams and schematics.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to operate controls for equipment.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench).
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers on project status.
• Membership in the First Aid Team/Safety Committee and a Fire Protection Monitor role.
• A valid driver's license and forklift certification.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Typically, a high school diploma or GED, a one-year technical certificate, and 1-3 years of related experience.
