Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform general maintenance and repair to support Facilities Maintenance. The role requires at least 3 years of experience across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building construction, and carpentry, with the ability to read blueprints and follow complex instructions.

A valid driver's license and eligibility for contract work are required.

Qualifications

  • Eligible for work assignment on specified contracts and pass screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair services to support FM functions.
  • Travel to various locations for maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Work indoors and manage materials and safety during tasks.
  • Assist in moving equipment and lifting up to 50 pounds where required.

Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair services to support the organization's Facilities Maintenance (FM) functions.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience:
    o Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing maintenance tasks under minimum supervision.
  • Must demonstrate working experience and knowledge of maintenance areas involving electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, building construction, and rough and finish carpentry.
  • Must have the ability to follow written and oral instructions of complex nature, read and follow blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state they reside, have a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.
  • Must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specifiedcontract(s).
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federalbackground screenings as appropriate.
Physical Requirements:

May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place indoors. Will work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow the Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change.

While performing this job's duties, the team member is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, and lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to assist in lifting equipment and move furniture when necessary; will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
