EMCOR Facilities Services in Akron, OH is seeking a Maintenance Helper who assists the Maintenance Mechanic I with preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and related equipment. The role involves minor repairs, inspections, and assisting with parts and tools inventory.
Ideal candidates have a HS Diploma and strong reading/comprehension of safety rules, with experience in mechanical environments and the ability to operate a forklift if certified.

Assists Maintenance Mechanic I in all activities and duties. Coordinate and complete preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, dock levelers, and other mechanical systems. Performs minor repairs on above systems.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Will be required to use ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts, fork trucks and other equipment to accomplish the job.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, high precarious positions: fumes or airborne particles: toxic or caustic chemicals: outside weather conditions: extreme cold: and extreme heat, and vibration.
