The Mary Campbell Center is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the Director of Facilities in repairs and preventive maintenance for the building, grounds and vehicle operations. The role requires reliability, efficiency and respect for residents, staff and the environment.
Minimum qualifications include a high character standard, ability to read/write, strong mechanical aptitude, basic maintenance skills for vehicles and grounds, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, five years in maintenance,
The Mary Campbell Center is first, last, and always, home to 68 residents. Together, staff ensures services are delivered with a high degree of quality, in a homelike environment where residents live with respect, personal dignity, and independence to the fullness of their abilities. The Maintenance Mechanic assists the Director of Facilities in performing repairs and maintenance to the building, grounds and vehicle operations of the Center. The Maintenance Mechanic must work reliably, effectively, efficiently, and with respect for residents, staff, families, volunteers, professional consultants, and the physical environment of the Center.
The Maintenance Mechanic works indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, with exposure fuels, odors, and/or chemicals. The Maintenance Mechanic may lift, push, and operate heavy equipment which, if not properly used, could cause injury. Incumbent may work extended and/or flexible hours to meet the needs of the Center.
