ID Logistics US in Somerset, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a Sunday-Wednesday, 5:30 PM–4:00 AM shift. The role focuses on inspecting and repairing material handling equipment and minor building repairs, while ensuring GMP and OSHA compliance and safety.

The position requires following corporate and site safety rules, maintaining service records, and handling parts procurement. Daily tasks include electrical system inspections, tool handling, and light maintenance across facilities.

Qualifications

• Maintain and repair material handling equipment and building systems.
• Follow GMPs and site policies during maintenance work.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety rules at all times.

Responsibilities

• Regular inspection of electrical and power units in the facility.
• Detect malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and engines; repair as needed.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and OSHA rules while performing duties.
• Maintain service cycle records and other maintenance activities.
• Manage time efficiently and complete tasks assigned by supervision.
• Report damages, defects and issues to the supervisor.
• Order spare/replacement parts and document the procurement.
• Operate and handle electrical repair/testing tools and equipment.
• Perform light building maintenance (bulbs, painting, caulking).
• Conduct daily inventory counts and move equipment between locations.
• Adhere to GMPs for site and corporate policies; report noncompliance.
• Follow all company safety rules and assist in enforcement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a skilled maintenance mechanic to inspect and repair material handling equipment and minor building repairs. Will follow corporate and site specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

• Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority.
• Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical units to the supervising manager.
• Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same.
• Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment.
• Light building maintenance repairs. Changing bulbs, painting, caulking, etc.
