Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I for our North Carolina operations in Sims. You will perform maintenance and repairs on crushers, conveyors, screens and other aggregate processing equipment to maximize uptime and plant performance.

Responsibilities include inspecting mechanical issues, completing preventive maintenance, maintaining accurate records, and supporting safe, efficient quarry operations while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and maintenance docs.
• Knowledge of maintenance tools, welding, cutting, or fabrication techniques applicable to plant equipment.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and operational excellence.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to support production goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on crushers, conveyors, screens, and other aggregate processing equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical issues to maximize equipment uptime and plant performance.
