Amentum is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to join our Springfield, VA team. The role involves general maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities across trades such as painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and masonry. Strong hands-on skills and ability to lift up to 45 lbs are required.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of general maintenance experience. US citizenship and the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Minimum of five years of general maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• U.S. citizen or eligible for clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings across multiple trades including painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and masonry.
• Replace motors and repair or replace damaged components and fixtures.
• Assist with repair of sinks, water coolers, toilets, and flooring; patch walls as needed.
