Weinberg Community for Senior Living in Deerfield, IL seeks an on-site Maintenance role. The position runs 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with a bi-weekly schedule and includes overtime rules, with dues-paying SEIU Local 73 membership as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities include routine rounds, safety inspections, basic repairs, and completing work orders to keep residents’ lives safe and comfortable. Benefits accompany a strong union-supported workplace.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform routine building and equipment rounds.

Responsabilidades

• Follows prescribed procedures and performs routine building and equipment rounds, including checking outside grounds, lighting, equipment temperatures, and general building conditions.
• Inspects for safety and maintenance issues, including inoperative exit lights and open ceiling tiles; notifies management for contractor work.
• Operates and maintains facility systems (heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing) with assistance from supervisors.
• Performs minor preventive maintenance and repairs throughout the building and grounds.
• Replaces light bulbs, ballasts, fuses, switches and other small components of equipment.
• Completes assigned work orders accurately and records work in the daily log.
