Job summary

Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC, an American Foods Group company, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic I at the East River plant in Green Bay, WI. You will assist with servicing, repairing, and testing equipment, and perform preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

You will work in varying temperatures around moving machinery, complete required logs, and follow safety and GMP trainings. Extended hours may be needed to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures around moving equipment with PPE.
• Hours vary based on production needs and extended hours may be required.
• Must successfully complete safety and GMP related training (SQF, HACCP, SOPs, food defense).

Responsibilities

• Assist higher level mechanics with servicing, repairing, adjusting and testing machines and equipment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure machinery runs daily.
• Conveyor belt repair and replacement.
• Lock out/tag out equipment when not in use.
• Complete maintenance logs and notify supervisor of malfunctions.
• Other related duties as needed to meet organizational needs.

Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC, an American Foods Group company, has opportunities for a Maintenance Mechanic I at our East River plant in Green Bay, WI.

As Our Maintenance Mechanic I, You Will

• Assist higher level mechanics with duties (i.e. servicing, repairing, adjusting and testing machines, devices, moving parts and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles).
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery (ex. Grease, change bearings, replace worn parts on machinery) to ensure machinery runs at 100% in order to meet daily production demand.
• Conveyor belt repair and replacement.
• Turn off and lock out/tag out equipment when not in use.
• Complete required paperwork (i.e. maintenance log and repair logs, etc.).
• Notify lead or supervisor of any malfunctions or repairs needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Hours vary based on production needs and extended hours may be required.
• Must be able to successfully complete training:
  • Safety.
  • Safe Quality Food (SQF).
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Food defense.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience.
• Prior production experience.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
