Job summary

Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC (an American Foods Group company) seeks a Palletizer at our East River plant in Green Bay, WI. You will prepare pallets by stacking, taping, labeling, and wrapping finished boxes from the production line, using forklift, pallet jack, or walker as needed.

We are looking for reliable team players who can work in varied temperatures and follow food safety standards, including SQF, GMPs, HACCP, and SOPs. Prior palletizing or warehouse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Able to work in varied temperatures (warm, hot, humid, cold, wet) around moving equipment with PPE.
• Hours vary based on production needs; extended hours may be required.
• Must successfully complete Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, and food defense training.
• Forklift training or experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a Palletizer, remove boxes from the production line and place them onto pallets according to customer specifications (pattern and height).
• Stack boxes straight on pallets and ensure they are stabilized to prevent tipping.
• Tape or seal boxes and shrink wrap finished pallets; label appropriately.
• Use forklift, pallet jack or walker to move pallets to designated areas.
• Read paperwork to determine stacking pattern/arrangement and examine containers for packing specs.
• Enter pallet data into the computer (pallet count, product information, pallets used).
• Count product and materials; monitor packaging supplies for shift needs.
• Set up equipment as needed and change labels / date codes as required.
• Conduct forklift inspections at shift start and ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Provide backup assistance on production lines and follow all safety standards.

Overview

Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC, an American Foods Group company, has an opportunity for a Palletizer at our East River plant in Green Bay, WI.

As a Palletizer, you will:

• Remove boxes from the production line and place them onto pallets according to customer specifications (pattern and height).
• Stack boxes as straight as possible on pallets; ensure they are stabilized before moving to prevent boxes from tipping over.
• Properly tape or seal boxes.
• Shrink wrap finished pallets and label appropriately.
• Use forklift, walker or pallet jack to move pallets to designated area(s).
• Report any deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Read paperwork to determine stacking pattern/arrangement on pallet.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Count product and materials.
• Monitor packaging supplies to ensure an adequate amount is available for the shift.
• Set up equipment as needed.
• Monitor and change labels and date codes as needed.
• Check sealed boxes of finished product coming from the production line to ensure they are labeled, taped and intact.
• Enter pallet data into computer (pallet count, product information, pallets used).
• Make sure product is separated by code dates appropriately.
• Conduct forklift inspection at the start of the shift prior to equipment use; complete the Forklift Inspection Sheet verifying the inspection was conducted and the equipment safe to operate.
• Provide backup assistance on the production line(s) as needed.
• Perform all job functions safely in accordance with food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Hours vary based on production needs and extended hours may be required.

• Must be able to successfully complete training:

• Safety.

• Safe Quality Food (SQF).

• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

• Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Food defense.

• Forklift.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior palletizer or warehouse experience.
• Prior production experience.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
