Job summary

American Foods Group, Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC, is seeking a Maintenance technician for our Northland plant in Green Bay, Wisconsin. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect critical equipment, and assist production with setup and breakdown to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include checking ammonia and other systems, wiring and hydraulics repairs, and working in diverse temperatures with PPE. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Able to work in varied temperatures (warm, hot, humid, cold, wet).
  • Capable of working at heights around moving equipment with PPE.
  • Ability to work overtime and irregular start times as production needs require.

  • Verify production equipment is functioning on the floor.
  • Repair wiring, motors, welds and hydraulics as needed.

  • Assist production with setup, training and breakdown as required.

Overview

Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for Maintenance at our Northland plant in Green Bay, WI.

As Maintenance, you Will
  • Check ammonia compressors for ammonia leaks, oil levels, suction levels.
  • Check air compressor, kemco, boiler, and high-pressure water.
  • Check production floor to verify all production equipment is working.
  • Fix break downs (wiring, motors, welds, hydraulics, etc.)
  • Maintain waste water daff unit.
  • Do preventive maintenance (oil changes, grease, etc.).
  • Drain the soak tank and raise the soak belt.
  • Assist production as needed (training, equipment set up and break down, etc.).
  • Fill soak tank with water and lower soak belt.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to work extended scheduled hours Sunday through Friday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
  • Must be able to successfully complete training:
    • Safety.
    • Safe Quality Food (SQF).
    • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Food defense.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility.
  • Prior production experience.
  • Work history in the last 12 months.
