Job summary

Rhythm City Casino Resort seeks a maintenance technician to support a wide range of shop and facility tasks. The role requires operating hand and power tools, ladders, and maintenance machinery while following safety rules and SDS guidelines.

You will respond to calls, perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical areas, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in a casino setting. Excellent guest service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused approach with prompt, polite responses to guests and staff.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ladders and related maintenance machinery.
• Familiarity with safety rules, PPE, OSHA standards, and SDS paperwork.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather and casino environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and general mechanical work at expected quality.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and maintain facilities and equipment as needed.
• Answer calls promptly and address needs of guests and employees with courtesy.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information including guest and financial data.
• Utilize computer, office software, work-order system, and radios for communication.

Job description

• Ability to operate all types of hand tools, power tools, ladders, safety equipment, man lift, fork lift, and machinery that relate to the function of a maintenance shop. Proper use of chemicals used for cleaning and in maintenance.




• Basic knowledge of lawn care and landscaping. Ability to operate tractor, mowers, truck with snow plow, salter, skid loader, other utility vehicles, and general lawn care equipment.




• Knowledge of all pool and spa related equipment and chemicals. Must be able to continuously monitor chemical levels and be able to accurately adjust levels to match with state regulations to ensure safety and cleanliness.




• Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness. Pay attention to the needs of employees and guest at all times.




• Ability to effectively troubleshoot, repair, replace, and perform maintenance functions such as painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical work at an acceptable level of quality.




• Knowledge of personal protective equipment, OSHA required standards, SDS, and safety requirements.




• Ability to use a computer, Microsoft Office, email, work-order database, and hand-held radios.




• Has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.




• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality including, but not limited to relative to player activity, claim activity, financial data, marketing plans and policies.




• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive environment.




• Ability to perform a broad variety of tasks and deadlines with an irregular work schedule.




• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees in both oral and written form.




• Ability to work in outdoor environment with exposure to inclement weather and extreme hot/cold temperatures. Ability to work in a casino and office environment with excessive noise levels, bright lights, and smoke environment.




• Knowledge of all facilities and promotional events available to guests on property.
