Job summary

Rhythm City Casino Resort in Davenport, IA is seeking a dedicated cleaner to maintain cleanliness across the casino floor and back-of-house areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning slot machines, restrooms, and support areas, moving and disposing of trash, and ensuring safety with proper chemical handling and PPE.

Must be able to stand for long periods, communicate effectively with guests and staff, and follow procedures in a high-noise, smoke-filled environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA standards for the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees in both oral and written form.

Responsibilities

• Clean all slot machines, bases, chairs, floors, fixtures, windows, walls, stairs and elevators.
• Clean, disinfect and restock all restrooms.
• Remove trash and debris from machines, floors, and trash cans; deposit in outdoor dumpster or trash compactor.
• Clean associated support areas including back of house offices and restrooms.
• Maintain confidentiality of player activity, claim activity, financial data, marketing plans, and policies.

Job description

• Clean all slot machines, bases, chairs, all floors (including vacuuming and mopping), fixtures, windows, walls, stairs and elevators, etc.

• Clean, disinfect and restock all restrooms.

• Remove all trash and debris from machines, floors, and trash cans and deposit in outdoor dumpster or trash compactor.

• Cleans all associated support areas including back of house offices and restrooms.

• Assures an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.

• Support compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including those associated with underage and intoxicated guests.

• Supports current law and policy to provide a work environment free from illegal and discriminatory behavior.

• Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment.

• Job duties, tasks, work hours, work requirements, and other duties as assigned may be added or changed at any time.

• Knowledgeable in the operation of a vacuum cleaner, ladder, hand tools, and a trash compactor. Knowledge of OSHA standards for the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.

• Must be able to stand/walk for up to eight (8) consecutive hours.

• Answer and respond to all calls promptly. Use of a hand radio.

• Has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality including, but not limited to, player activity, claim activity, financial data, marketing plans, and policies.

• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive environment.

• Ability to perform a broad variety of tasks and deadlines with an irregular work schedule.

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees in both oral and written form.

• Ability to work in casino and office environment with excessive noise levels, bright lights, and smoke environment.

• Knowledge of all facilities and promotional events available to guests on property.
