Position Summary

Under limited supervision, performs routine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance for all Affinia Healthcare locations. Primary duties include minor electrical work, mechanical repairs, and other maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with coursework in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing technical training.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in building maintenance trade.
• Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to perform daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in the safe operation of power and manual tools, and light equipment.
  • Skilled in repairing building systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance as required by Missouri state law.
  • EPA Certification (Type I & Type II or Universal).

Essential Functions

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Inspect and repair HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Comply with OSHA safety and Joint Commission rules.
• Complete work order requests.
• Inspect and repair electrical/lighting systems, plumbing, and building grounds.
• Assist with moving furniture, appliances, and setting up meeting rooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
