Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd and 3rd shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.

This temp-to-hire role offers competitive pay and overtime opportunities. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or trade schooling, 3+ years in maintenance, and experience with electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School required.
• Technical degree in Electricity, Electronics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in maintenance focusing on electrical systems, electronics, motor controls, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
• Experience reading schematics, manuals, and technical drawings; PLC knowledge a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; ability to work overtime and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing and production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, and modifications.
• Diagnose and repair motor controls, electrical circuits, drives, and PLC systems.
• Replace, calibrate, and troubleshoot electronic components.
• Support production to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
• Monitor equipment during start-ups, changeovers, and installations.
• Complete maintenance work orders and document repairs.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and organize maintenance areas.
