Maintenance Mechanic - Full Time 2nd Shift

Position Summary

Performs diverse duties including emergency and preventive maintenance of electrical distribution, mechanical systems, HVAC, power generation, plumbing, pneumatic tube systems, medical gas systems, and building structures, as well as fulfilling the requirements of various departments.

Responsibilities

1. Works with other trades as assigned.
2. Collaborates with outside contractors as needed.
3. Works within OSHA safety standards.
4. Requisitions supplies and tools.
5. Assists other engineering personnel for efficient completion of tasks.
6. Performs routine and emergency repairs and maintenance.
7. Supports other trades during workload or emergencies, including weather-related issues.
8. Detects and reports faulty equipment or unusual conditions.
9. Maintains records for compliance with regulations.
10. Coordinates fire and life safety measures, including inspections.
11. Trains other engineers and conducts in-services as needed.
12. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
13. Follows safety regulations and responds to emergency codes.
14. Performs minor repairs from requests.
15. Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.

Other Functions

1. Participates in department meetings.
2. Maintains confidentiality of data and information.
3. Adheres to facility policies and procedures.
4. Completes required training in safety, infection control, and related areas.

Qualifications

Education/Training

High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification

• Valid Florida driver’s license and insurability.

Experience
