Job summary

The Class Produce Group in Maryland is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep our food processing/packaging facility running safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes electrical experience and the maintenance of all property and production assets.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, disassembling and repairing parts, reading blueprints, and performing preventative maintenance on processing, filling and packaging lines. Shift options are 1st and 2nd, with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one to two years' experience in an industrial maintenance role with emphasis in a processing environment.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting bearings, belts, sheaves, sprockets, chains, and gear reducers and proper alignment of these drive devices.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
• Fabricate, disassemble and assemble production equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and troubleshoot/repair processing, filling and packaging production equipment.
• Install, move, and relocate machinery/equipment according to blueprints and other drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead or Supervisor
