Job summary

PastryStar, a bakery ingredient manufacturer in Laurel, MD, seeks a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, handling RCA, and documenting work in CMMS. 3–4 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing are preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or industrial environment
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting proficiency
• Experience with CMMS and documentation of repairs

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies promptly
• Support weekend, shutdown, and special maintenance activities as needed
• Follow GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements
