Job summary

Kroger Mountain View Foods in Colorado is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair plant machinery, electrical systems, and structures. You will set up machine tools, troubleshoot failures, and complete work orders while following safety and quality programs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in maintenance, GMP knowledge, and a strong focus on reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in food manufacturing and GMP knowledge preferred.
• 2+ years maintenance mechanic experience or relevant technical training/certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, structures, pipes and electrical systems in the facility.
• Set up machine tools (lathe, grinder, drill press, milling) to repair or fabricate parts.
• Troubleshoot equipment, repair failures to maximize efficiency and reliability.
• Complete work orders and urgent tasks; maintain a clean maintenance area.
• Utilize maintenance systems for daily, weekly, monthly duties.
• Operate material handling equipment safely.
• Document work order information and completion.
• Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Contribute to plant initiatives to minimize downtime and optimize operations.
• Follow safety and quality programs to meet regulatory and Kroger standards.
