Job summary

PepsiCo in Charlotte, NC is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably. The shift runs Wednesday–Friday and every other Saturday, 6:00pm–6:30am, with on-site work at 2700 South Blvd.

You will diagnose pneumatic/hydraulic systems, electrical AC/DC systems, and use preventative maintenance systems to support equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older
• Required to work on weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift 15 to 50 points with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without accommodation
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety

Helpful Experience

• Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors)
• Multi-craft maintenance and repair (e.g. performing interrelated repairs on electrical systems and mechanical systems)
