Cascades Inc. in Piscataway, NJ seeks a Maintenance Mechanic with strong mechanical skills and a background in manufacturing to maintain corrugating and converting equipment.

The role requires reading technical manuals and blueprints, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and collaborating with production teams. The successful candidate will participate in installation and decommissioning projects, uphold safety practices, and be willing to work day

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright/Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical drive and basic electricity.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical and hydraulic, pneumatic systems is an asset.
• Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on corrugating and converting equipment, including but not limited to, corrugators, flexo folder gluers, die cutters, and associated machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure the ongoing reliability of machinery and equipment efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for equipment improvement and optimization.
• Participate in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of corrugating and converting machinery as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
