Job summary

Kari-Out is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Rockaway, New Jersey packaging facility. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing pumps, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience working with mechanical systems including pumps, boilers, and conveyor systems.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and climb ladders as required.
• Familiarity with three‑phase electrical systems and mechanical components such as gaskets.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on pumps, conveyor systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to restore equipment functionality promptly.
• Work overtime as needed to address urgent maintenance issues and support production schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status to support operational planning.
