Job summary

CompoSecure, L.L.C. is seeking a maintenance professional to ensure continuous production by performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on all production equipment.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical expertise and adherence to safety, lockout/tagout, and spare parts procedures. The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of related experience, a high school diploma (vocational degree preferred), and is capable of working with CMMS systems and coordinating with outside contractors

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Electrical, Mechanical, Welding, Electro-Mechanical training is a plus.
• High School Graduate required; Vocational Degree preferred.
• Experience with a virtual work order and spare parts management system preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
• Perform emergency repairs on production equipment and machinery.
• Follow procedures for spare parts usage and safety requirements (lockout/tagout).
• Keep accurate maintenance records and maintain equipment availability.

Job description

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for ensuring the continuous functionality of all production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on all production equipment and machinery.
• Perform emergency repairs on all production equipment and machinery.
• Conform to all procedures regarding spare parts usage.
• Perform repairs and maintenance according to any and all OSHA and other safety requirements, i.e.: lockout/tagout.
• Perform all maintenance and repairs in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
• Maintain mechanical availability of all production equipment.
• Maintain mechanical availability of all facility equipment.

Other Important Responsibilities:

• Maintain a daily log of Preventive Maintenance and downtime through Computerized Maintenance Management System, Simplicity CMMS
• Maintain a daily work log and EOD/end of day email report to Upper management.
• Assist the Parts Inventory Clerk with proper specs and info when sourcing parts for repairs and regular maintenance.
• Work with outside contractors during routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Timely Corrective Action response and resolution to relevant situations.
• As required, will install new equipment, facility upgrades, perform repair work as needed and support production.
• Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness Programs.
• As part of the EMS- Environment Management System, will meet compliance obligations and accountability by contributing but not limited to the company's recycling guidelines, proper waste and other environmental performance practices
• Will be required to perform other job functions, as assigned

Qualifications:

• A minimum 7-10 years (or more) of relevant experience.
• Electrical, Mechanical, Welding, Electro-Mechanical and equipment training, a plus.
• High School Graduate required. Vocational Degree Preferred.
• Experience with a virtual work order and spare parts management system preferred.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Task oriented excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work load.
• Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, self-motivated, creative and innovative.

Physical requirements and work environment:

• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must be able to sustain physical work for 8+ hours on a standard 3 shift operation or 12+ hours per day on 24/7 operation. Also includes the following:
  • Standing
  • Reaching and pulling
  • Sight
  • Walking through shop
  • Bending, climbing and crouching.
• Office environment is of moderate noise level.
• Shop noise levels are such that protective ear-coverings are recommended.
• Sometimes subject to external weather conditions.
• Short notice, overtime demand according to equipment or facility breakdowns.
• Repair work on heavy equipment often in a seated or standing position.
• Grease, oil, water exposure.
• Mechanics must provide all industry required hand tools and tool box. Checklist will be provided. All specialty tools will be provided by CompoSecure.
