Job summary

Plastic Ingenuity in Tooele, UT is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for repair and preventive maintenance of production equipment, and for keeping our machines running to support manufacturing operations.

The role involves in-house work with some projects contracted out, working with grinders, CNC mills, lathes, and HVAC systems, plus GMP and SQF compliance and inventory upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; maintenance apprenticeship desirable.
• 3–5 years of plant and equipment maintenance experience.
• General knowledge of machine shop practices and basic milling/CNC operations.
• Strong electromechanical repair background with GMP/SQF awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment including grinders, thermolators, tape machines, compressors.
• Operate and service CNC mills, lathes, surface grinders, and related shop equipment.
• Complete HVAC, forklift, and other in-house projects when feasible.
• Keep inventory of repair parts and process procurement for repairs.
• Ensure GMP and SQF practices to maintain product safety.
