Four-day work week
Work Schedule: New hires will most likely get either 8 PM-6:30 AM or 12 Noon - 10:30 PM shifts, repeating weekly (depends on bid assignment). Work days and times may change when bid assignments are rebid, so open availability is required as our Maintenance Department operates 24/7.
Excellent, low-cost benefits start the first of the month following hire date, and you'll get paid weekly! Benefits also include a Simplified Defined Contribution Pension.
Mechanic Class A: $32.00/hr with $825 tool allowance annually
Mechanic Class B: $29.50/hr with $825 tool allowance annually
Mechanic Class C: $24.00/hr with $475 tool allowance annually
Shift differential of $0.25/hr on 2nd shift or $0.35/hr on 3rd shift
Job Summary:
This position involves performing general servicing, preventative maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting, evaluating repair costs, and performing repairs on fleet vehicles. It includes working with other mechanics on major repairs and overhauls, conducting safety inspections per Penn DOT, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role also provides training to lower-level employees, handles service requests, makes road calls, and coordinates work orders. Maintaining a safe, organized work environment and completing records are essential. Attendance and punctuality are required. The mechanic may also perform other duties as assigned. The classification basis will be on panel interview.

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
