Darigold is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for its Sunnyside, WA facility. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing plant equipment, including fabrication and sanitary welding, to support production operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience and formal education in a related field. The job offers a competitive hourly pay and benefits package, with a hybrid working arrangement available.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitary welding and stainless steel welding tasks
• Maintain and repair plant equipment and rotating machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and controls
• Interpreting P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings
• Work with ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Plan, organize, and maintain equipment records using CMMS
• Support preventive maintenance programs and special projects
• Collaborate with team, communicate effectively, and adapt to night/weekend shifts

Job description

Darigold is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to be a part of Darigold’s Sunnyside team. The Maintenance Mechanic must possess the desire and ability to maintain and repair all plant equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic’s role is to maintain and repair plant machinery and assist with special projects, which include fabrication and sanitary welding.

What You Will Do

• Proven sanitary welding experience
• Proven stainless steel fabrication and welding skills
• Experience maintaining and repairing rotating machinery
• Experience in trouble shooting and repair of production equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical motors and controls
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and boilers
• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to interpret P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings
• Understanding and experience of preventive maintenance
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and maintain equipment and records
• Understanding and working knowledge of CMMS systems and work orders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong team player
• Must be available to work any shift including nights and weekends

Pay:

$32 to 36 per hour
