Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic B to oversee and perform repairs on production facility equipment. The role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting of DC equipment, electrical phases, and welding when needed.

You will follow work orders, maintain safety standards, manage parts stock, and support changeovers while ensuring production goals are met in a fast-paced beverage facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and three (3) years industrial maintenance experience.
  • One (1) to three (3) years PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience with electrical - such as Three Phase.
  • Maintenance troubleshooting experience.
  • Three (3) years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ experience with pneumatics.
  • Knowledge of Fabricating, Electrical, Pneumatics, Welding and Rigging.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Fluent Troubleshooting Techniques.
  • Good Machine Shop skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Performs mechanical preventative and repair maintenance on all production equipment following written work order scheduling and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve issues related to the DC equipment and controls.
  • Understand and troubleshoot any issues related to the electrical phases systems.
  • Perform equipment installation and welding.
  • Records work done on forms provided.
  • Follows OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • Identifies parts needed and maintains an inventory of parts in the stockroom.
  • Performs equipment changeovers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Mechanic B Role Overview
