Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic B to oversee and repair production facility equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot DC equipment and electrical systems, and ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years industrial maintenance experience.
• 1–3 years PLC troubleshooting experience.
• 1–3 years electrical experience (Three Phase) and maintenance troubleshooting.
• 3 years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience.
• 1–2 years’ pneumatics experience.
• Knowledge of Fabricating, Electrical, Pneumatics, Welding and Rigging.
• Must troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Strong Troubleshooting Techniques.
• Good Machine Shop skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical preventative and repair maintenance on all production equipment following written work order scheduling and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve DC equipment and controls issues.
• Understand and troubleshoot electrical phase systems.
• Perform equipment installation and welding.
• Record work done on forms provided.
• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
• Identify parts and maintain inventory in the stockroom.
• Perform equipment changeovers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Mechanic B Role Overview

Oversees and performs repairs on production facility equipment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical preventative and repair maintenance on all production equipment following written work order scheduling and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve issues related to the DC equipment and controls.
• Understand and troubleshoot any issues related to the electrical phases systems.
• Perform equipment installation and welding.
• Records work done on forms provided.
• Follows OSHA and company safety guidelines.
• Identifies parts needed and maintains an inventory of parts in the stockroom.
• Performs equipment changeovers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and three (3) years industrial maintenance experience.
• One (1) to three (3) years PLC troubleshooting experience.
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience with electrical – such as Three Phase. Maintenance troubleshooting experience.
• Three (3) years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience.
• One (1) to two (2) years’ experience with pneumatics.
• Knowledge of Fabricating, Electrical, Pneumatics, Welding and Rigging.
• Must be able to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Fluent Troubleshooting Techniques.
• Good Machine Shop skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
