SUMMARY

Performs a wide variety of maintenance duties to repair and maintain equipment and facilities using skills generally applicable to welding, material handling, maintenance, and building trades.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Installs, erects, or disassembles plant equipment and machines as directed.
2. Performs electrical, piping, carpentry, painting, sheet metal work, and other maintenance tasks to keep production operational.
3. Performs welding and routine machine operations as necessary.
4. Conducts preventative maintenance on molding and plant equipment, including scheduling, inspecting, oiling, greasing, adjusting, and referring problems to the supervisor.
5. Installs water and air lines; performs minor building repairs or installations.
6. Diagnoses and corrects mechanical problems on manufacturing machines.
7. Assists in training Maintenance C associates.
8. Maintains quality and quantity standards, follows safety precautions, and adheres to company policies and regulations.
9. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unsafe conditions.
10. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
11. Maintains daily production and other records as required.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
