ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park includes four major venues: NRG Center, NRG Stadium, NRG Astrodome, and NRG Arena. The role involves maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, requiring physical exertion and standing for long periods. The apprentice acts as a liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring compliance with rules and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing kitchen exhaust fans, refrigeration, and chilled water systems.
• Perform coil cleaning and preventative maintenance; repair fountain water systems, plumbing, and related equipment.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues within the facility.
• Assist in preventive maintenance of plumbing and HVAC systems across multiple buildings.
• Assist in repairing, inspecting, and rebuilding equipment to meet quality standards.
• Work safely and maintain cleanliness and quality checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must obtain a Boiler Permit within 60 days.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• Experience with electrical, refrigeration, or plumbing courses is a plus.
• Ability to operate various equipment and adhere to safety standards.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 75 lbs, stand for long hours, and perform strenuous physical tasks, including climbing and reaching.
