Job summary

Clow Valve's Machine Shop in Iowa is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic A to repair, maintain and improve equipment on the 1st shift (5am-3pm, Mon-Thu). Starting wage is $ 30.30 per hour, with a qualified wage of $ 32.30, and health insurance available after 60 days.

A $1500 sign-on bonus applies after 120 days of probation. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, operation of fork trucks and conveyors, welding and light fabrication, and routine inspection and cleaning of machinery.

Qualifications

Must pass aptitude test.
2-4 years verifiable maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
Tech degree is a strong plus.
Ability to wear PPE including safety glasses, metatarsal guarded boots, hearing protection, respirators, welding mask, etc.

Responsibilities

Repairing, maintaining, installing, lubricating, troubleshooting and adjusting machines and equipment.
Performing routine inspection equipment.
Perform routine lubrication and cleaning.
Perform minor repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and machines.
Operate fork trucks, lifts, and conveyors.
Welding and minor fabrications.
Preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery.
