Job summary

West Liberty Foods is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for the West Liberty, IA facility on the Day Shift. You will support production by maintaining machinery and automated equipment, troubleshoot PLCs/vision systems, and perform preventative maintenance in a food manufacturing setting.

The role requires 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, ability to read schematics, and familiarity with CMMS. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read prints/schematics/drawings and follow repair manuals.
• Hands-on experience with automated equipment (PLC, vision systems).
• Familiarity with CMMS, L2L and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily preventative maintenance and daily tasks.
• Be an active member of the HAZMAT team.
• Read and understand mechanical and electrical diagrams and manuals.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot automated equipment.
• Repair mechanical breakdowns promptly and safely.
• Follow safety precautions and wear PPE as required.
• Operate lifts and material handling tools as needed.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
