The Michigan State Police is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for inspecting, installing, and repairing essential facility systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. The position is responsible for inspecting, installing, and repairing plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and components essential for facility operation. This includes work on heating/hot water systems such as boilers, circulating pumps, expansion tanks, heat exchangers, and air handling units. Knowledge of HVAC computerized controls, refrigeration systems, and lift stations is required. The role also involves ensuring compliance with policies, operating procedures, authorities, and regulations related to fire safety and sanitation, including DDC, DRC, and WCC systems.
Education: Typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience:
Completion of a recognized vocational training program in mechanical or electrical trades may substitute for two years of experience.
