Who We Want
What You'll Do:

  • Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools.
  • Utilize Plex to document appropriate downtime codes.
  • Troubleshoot, isolate, and repair manufacturing machinery & equipment.
  • Use the following equipment safely: Basic Level
    • Hand Tools
    • Hand and Surface Grinders
    • Wheel Puller
    • Torches
    • Pipe Threader
    • Hydraulic Jack
    • Welders
    • Scissor Lift
    • Boom Lift
    • Lathe
    • Forklift
    • Milling Machine
    • Drill Presses
  • Basic troubleshooting of both welding equipment and systems.
  • Help develop specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production equipment and tools.
  • Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Basic knowledge of welding applications (MIG, Spot, Stud, etc.).
  • Complete and manage work orders via the Plex systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and provide input on updates to preventative maintenance schedules (with guidance from a Weld Maintenance Mechanic level II or level III).
  • Basic level robotic experience (robot movements, navigate/troubleshoot common basic level issues utilizing the teach pendant).
  • Basic level knowledge of lubrication processes (functionality, correct type, when to use).
  • Ability to use common hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, feeler gages, etc.).
  • Responsible for inspection, installation, and repair of machines used for production and within the tool room and maintenance machining areas. In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs.
When And Where

This position is located at our plant in Pontiac, MI.

What You Need To Have
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of machine repair experience.
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics experience.
  • Basic understanding of relevant robotic controls and processes.
