A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to repair and maintain various systems in hospital-owned properties. The role involves physically demanding tasks and requires proficiency in English, along with prior maintenance experience. Candidates must be prepared for emergency calls and diverse working conditions.
Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical equipment as needed in all hospital-owned property. Performs other maintenance activities and assists all trades in conjunction with construction.
Specifications: Graduation from high school or vocational school; two years of general maintenance experience. One month of on-the-job training is required to learn the location of equipment, supplies, and the hospital layout. Must possess a valid Medical Card. Proficient in the English language. The position is physically demanding, often requiring heavy lifting and working outside normal hours, including emergency calls. Working conditions may at times be extremely hot, cold, dirty, or wet. Some exposure to major hazards and considerable exposure to minor hazards.
