Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex production equipment onsite in the United States. You will handle electrical, mechanical, and control-system diagnostics, including CNC controls from FANUC and Siemens, and perform preventative maintenance across production lines.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and U.S. citizenship or a Green Card.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in troubleshooting and repair facilities.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and equipment issues to determine correct methods and tools.
  • Perform equipment installation, teardown, repair, reassembly, testing, and part fabrication in compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and shop standards.
  • Install, diagnose, and repair 120VAC, 240VAC, and 480VAC single‑and three‑phase systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related instruments.
  • Conduct internal and external diagnostics and repairs on multi‑axis CNC systems, including FANUC and Siemens controls.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Support wastewater treatment operations and environmental compliance.
  • Maintain current knowledge of CNC, PLC, HMI, and machine‑control technologies.
  • Train personnel on CNC, PLC, HMI, and machine‑interface concepts.
  • Lead technical maintenance and equipment‑improvement projects.

Monday – Friday, 7A-3:30P

What You Will Do

  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for 8+ hours, lift 35+ pounds repeatedly, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Ability to ascend/descend ladders and wear required PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel‑toe shoes).
  • Ability to pass respiratory medical certification.
  • Capable of performing basic math including geometry, decimals, and fractions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • May be required to work 2nd shift during on‑call rotations.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $61,184 to $115,025 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
