Job summary

Marmon Utility is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Seymour, CT. You will support daily operation of machinery repairs and preventive maintenance, and monitor water systems. This full‑time, on‑site role follows Fri–Sun 7:00pm–7:00am with a training shift Mon–Fri 7:00am–3:00pm.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years hands-on mechanical experience.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and identify parts.
• Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves and piping.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Repair piping systems (black iron, stainless steel, brass, plastic).
• Respond to emergencies/outages and perform quality checks.
• Document maintenance records in the system.
