Job summary

Eaton Corporation seeks a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment. The role includes preventive maintenance, electrical tasks, and supporting facility upkeep on a 10:30 pm–6:30 am schedule in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• At least 1 year hands-on experience in manufacturing, military, maintenance, or related technical field, or completion of a maintenance tech cert program.
• No visa sponsorship; no CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H-1B support for this role.
• Relocation not offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery, equipment, tools, and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation.
• Make adjustments and equipment modifications as required.
• Conduct general facility maintenance including painting, plumbing, carpentry, and related repairs.
• Support operation and maintenance of in-house wastewater treatment system.
• Operate industrial vehicles and equipment for material handling and rigging.
• Assist with installation, setup, relocation, and commissioning of machinery.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure a safe work environment.

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $33.80 per hour.

The hours for this shift are 10:30 pm - 6:30 am.

Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery, equipment, tools, and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
• Make necessary adjustments, repairs, and equipment modifications as required.
• Conduct general facility maintenance, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, and related building repairs.
• Support the operation and maintenance of the in-house wastewater treatment system.
• Safely operate industrial vehicles and equipment used for material handling, machine relocation, and rigging activities.
• Assist with the installation, setup, relocation, and commissioning of machinery and equipment.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date maintenance records and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all environmental, health, and safety standards. Actively communicate with team members to identify, reduce, and eliminate potential workplace hazards while promoting a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum one (1) year of hands‑on experience in manufacturing, military, maintenance, or a related technical field, or completion of an accredited Maintenance Technician certification program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance from an accredited technical college or institution.
• Experience performing maintenance on industrial furnaces and related thermal processing equipment.
• Experience supporting maintenance operations within an injection molding manufacturing environment.
