Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc in O'Fallon, IL is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support production in a food manufacturing and packaging facility.

This full-time position is on the third shift, Tue-Sat 11:30pm-8:00am, with a shift differential and 90-day probation. Candidates should have strong mechanical and electrical skills, PLC experience, and ammonia refrigeration knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant maintenance experience required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with PLCs and ammonia refrigeration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems quickly and determine how to correct them, using blueprints and manuals as necessary.
• Maintenance on processing equipment, pipe fitting, welding, fabrication, carpentry; repair electrical or mechanical equipment; installation of equipment.
• Adjust and repair packaging equipment as needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Interface with Operations to minimize downtime and maximize plant reliability.
• Work with Outside Contractors and Plant Operations to ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Other responsibilities as requested.

East Side Jersey Dairy O'Fallon/Prairie Farms is looking for an EXPERIENCED Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support production in a food manufacturing and packaging facility. Position also includes maintaining plant utilities such as boiler, HVAC, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, anhydrous ammonia system, building and grounds maintenance, etc...

• Shift: Third
• Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 11:30pm-8:00am
• Location: O'Fallon, Illinois
• Job Type: Full-time with shift differential; 90 day probationary period
• Union: District NO.9, International Association of Machinist and Aerospace workers; Must join union after 30 days
• Pay: $33.94/hr plus shift differential

Duties:

Qualifications/Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull products weighing up to fifty pounds out of confined spaces and occasionally having to lift product overhead.
• Ability to stand, kneel climb ladders, and other physical requirements as needed.
• Must be able to pass a post-offer drug test, alcohol screening, and physical exam.
