Job Summary

Responsible for troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all production machinery, equipment, and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels. Equipment includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and fluid handling systems.

This role is part of an essential team that ensures production equipment is proactively maintained. Maintenance Mechanics respond to urgent calls to fix industrial equipment and they must troubleshoot accordingly and collaborate with operators and supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities

Install and modify production equipment and machinery.

Document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes.

Complete documentation process for machinery usage, equipment maintenance and purchases.

Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies.

Tackle problems with creative solutions and troubleshooting skills

Self-starter able to conceptualize and drive initiatives forward

Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Must follow safety protocols

Required Skills

Proficient in using hand, power, shop, and diagnostic tools.

Skilled in electrical power/control, mechanical and fluid handling systems.

Ability to meet deadlines and be detail oriented.

Ability to communicate effectively (read, write, comprehension) and follow complicated verbal and/or written instructions.

Knowledgeable using a PC, calendar, and outlook email.

Positive attitude and motivated by contributing to the overall success of the team

Willing to address difficult situations head on with patience and respect

Desired Skills

Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging and process equipment line maintenance of machinery in food or beverage manufacturing facility.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic prints and diagrams and ladder logic programs.

Ability to coordinate multiple jobs effectively, and to handle detailed and broad range projects.

Knowledge of production line packaging and filling equipment.

College or technical school certification or associates degree

OSHA safety training

  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.

  • Able to work in cold or hot environments

  • Physical ability to climb ladders, stairs, crawl through manholes, work on roofs, in tanks.

Pay Range for Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd shift

The Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd shift base pay range$26-36 USD/hourly.The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum fornew hire salaries for the Lynn, MA location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’srate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time.In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team membersas a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.The Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd shift position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the annual discretionarybonus program up to 5%. Kettle Cuisine and all its legal entities comply with all federal, state,and local minimum wage laws.
