Toolmaker /Tooling Repair/Maintenance (3rd Shift)

• Overnights start at 10pm ( 8-10 hours, depending on workload)
• Direct hire, Perm role in a company/team with a great culture
• This shift will also be eligible for an additional shift differential pay scale.
• PLEASE NOTE - We also have a Day/first and an Overnight/3rd Shift Maintenance role open if that is a better match.
  
  

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team on the 3rd shift/overnight, where you will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of tools and dies used in our various manufacturing processes. We have a low volume, but high-mix manufacturing setting and a HUGE variety of equipment, Old and New, so a good mechanical/technical aptitude is a must, as is a strong mechanical/manufacturing aptitude with the ability to learn what you don't know, and a willingness to do so.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tooling repair and maintenance, with a focus on precision and quality and a 'GET IT DONE' attitude that will help you grown and help the team get products out the door!

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and maintain tools and dies as per specifications
• Perform tooling repairs and maintenance on existing tools, ensuring optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to die performance and functionality
• Utilize CNC machinery and other equipment for precise tool making and adjustments
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and improve tooling processes
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
• Document tooling modifications and repairs for tracking and quality assurance
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Toolmaking preferred
• We are ideally hoping to find a SENIOR professional with 5-8 years of, Or more, experience performing the described work/duties.
• Proven experience as a Toolmaker or in a similar role within manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of tooling repair and maintenance practices
• Familiarity with Tool & Die, Metal Stamping, and Progressive tooling techniques
• Experience with CNC machines and die troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work 3rd shift hours, and occasional, but limited overtime as needed.
