Job summary

Hydrite Chemical Co. in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep plant equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventative maintenance and address repairs across pumps, motors, piping, and electrical systems.

You will troubleshoot process equipment, read mechanical drawings, and follow SOPs while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards. This role reports to the site Maintenance Manager and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred.
• Ability to read and draw mechanical drawings and diagrams.
• Must have English reading/writing and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on process and plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair process and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain plant equipment including pumps, motors, piping, valves, and electrical systems.
• Perform millwright tasks such as alignment and fabrication, as needed.
• Follow SOPs and safety regulations; ensure environmental compliance.
