ATTENTION MILITARY AFFILIATED JOB SEEKERS - Our organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for their open roles. Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is "On-Site" at the location detailed in the job post. This is a 2nd Shift position, 10:30pm-7:00am. Position requires the ability to work overtime. As a result, it may require working varying start times, end times, and weekends dependent on business needs. Want to make an impact? The Maintenance Mechanic conducts repairs to the physical plant and plant equipment, conducts preventative maintenance and project work and ensures continuous operation of mechanical and electrical systems on mobile and fixed manufacturing equipment. Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input /output boards, controllers servos, gears, sprockets chains, knives, etc. using test equipment and meters such as VOM, megger, amp probe and PC. Cleans, lubricates and adjusts guides, flap tuckers, sealing jaws, sensors, servos, and timing for process systems of packaging equipment to improve efficiency, quality, or operation. Performs routine preventive maintenance procedures as per schedule. Installs change parts (pockets, flap tuckers, film folding shoulders etc.) on our production machinery to allow us to run a different size, shape or product. Read blueprints, diagrams, programs /ladder logic and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify parts, and learn proper equipment operation. Installs new equipment. Actively seeks to find problems in assignment area and correct before the problem becomes critical with high supervision. Communicates conditions of equipment by: completing appropriate maintenance records, transferring knowledge of conditions to incoming mechanics at shift change, and informing his supervisor of significant problems. Displays cooperation by working closely with Production personnel. Improves work related skills by actively pursuing outside schooling or plant provided programs. Ability to work overtime and weekends. Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation

$38.00 per hour plus a .58 cent per hour shift differential.
